THERMAL IMAGING

SAVE ENERGY AND REDUCE YOUR CARBON FOOTPRINT

WHAT IS THERMOGRAPHY?

Thermography uses thermal imaging cameras to measure the surface temperature of a building and visually represent these areas in a colour spectrum. Thermal imaging surveys may include both the inside and outside of a building.

The thermographer will examine the results of the thermal survey and be able to inform the property owner of the areas of their building where heat is being lost and the degree to which this is happening. This may be due to structural problems, missing or defective insulation, thermal bridges, moisture penetration or excessive air leakage.

Thermography is a fast and non-invasive method of testing and is able to identify areas of concern which are not be visible to the naked eye.

WHY INVEST IN THERMAL IMAGING?

Repair & Upgrade

Home repairs

Identifying problems with the fabric of the building enables you to decide what needs to be repaired or replaced, such as insulation, windows or roof. Addressing areas of heat loss will achieve a more comfortable environment to live or work in, and extend the life of the building.

Reduce Costs

Reduce energy costs

Now, more than ever, reducing energy bills is important to both home and business owners. What better way than to identify where your building is losing heat and reverse this.

Carbon Footprint

Carbon footprint

Energy efficient buildings are a key driver in helping to reduce carbon emissions and slow down climate change, so it's important to limit the amount of heat lost through the fabric of a building.

HOW WE CAN HELP

Thermal Image UK can conduct both interior and exterior thermal imaging surveys to generate a thorough heat loss report on your building. Our team will provide a comprehensive interpretation of the infrared images that can underpin your maintenance and investment decisions.

We also respond to client requests on a range of other thermal imaging applications, including flat roof leaks and underfloor heating checks.

What makes us different?

All our Thermal Imaging reports are prepared by a Certified Level 2 Thermographer in accordance with British Standard BS EN13187:1999. We have invested in the highest resolution thermal imaging equipment commercially available in the UK (NEC's TH9260), allowing us to record detailed thermal images, even on large buildings. This high spec equipment allows us to measure and analyse small but significant temperature differences on external walls not visible with lower resolution cameras. We also automatically record comparative daylight images, and other image information, providing an accurate visual representation of heat loss issues.
