AIR TIGHTNESS TESTING IN Glasgow

• We close all external doors, windows and trickle vents, and we temporary seal fixed open ventilation.
• Fit our blower door fan to an external doorway and pressurise the building to 50 Pascals.
• Measure the amount of air required to maintain the pressure difference and calculate the Air Permeability or Air Changes rating from that.
• If the target is not met, we use smoke pencils and thermal imaging to identify leakage points. Once remedial work is carried out, we can re-test (often straight away).
• Our testing is carried out in accordance with Scottish Government Section 6, England & Wales Part L and CIBSE TM23 standard, using UKAS calibrated equipment.
• We can issue Air Permeability certificate on the same day.
